The futuristic hip-hop Anti-Pop Consortium will perform in the Czech Republic for the first time ever on March 4 at the Archa Theatre. After a long break, the band has joined forces with the Big Dada (Ninja Tune) label and is returning with the album Fluorescent Black. Like in their most famous album Arrhytmia they mix a futuristic cocktail from elements of slam poetry, Dadaism, free jazz and contemporary electronic music. In Prague, WWW, one of the pioneers of intelligent hip-hop in the Czech Republic, will open for the Anti-Pop Consortium.

A pool brimming with sounds, from surreal whistles to spilt Dada hats, galactic buzzing and the rustling of mice. A legend of the post-industrial scene and one of the most original projects of experimental electronic music is coming. On April 30 at the Archa Theatre, Steven Stapleton's deranged noise project Nurse With Wound will perform for the first time ever in the Czech Republic. Opening for them and acting as a host band will be Aranos, a multi-instrumentalist of Czech origin who spices his experimental omnivorousness with plenty of energy.

The most aggressive mutation of contemporary dance underground comes to the Archa Theatre to present the most occupied man – Canadian titan of the breakcore scene Venetian Snares. At the Stimul Festival on May 15, he will demonstrate how in his hands original funk beats are transformed into a weapon of mass destruction. His music answers the question of what would happen if sophisticated electronic music was taken over by death-metal extremists. By contrast, the Austrian minimalist Radian will open with abstract electronic music.

The Stimul Festival continues to map contemporary noise underground: on May 20 the American trio Wolf Eyes will perform at the Archa Theatre. The forefathers as well as the biggest stars on the contemporary noise scene will perform in Prague for the first time ever. Alongside industrial noises and distorted guitar they also bring the sound of free jazz saxophone. One thing is clear: noise was never so much fun.

The dreams of many fans of alternative rock will come true. One of the biggest concert engagements in recent years is coming to Prague’s Archa Theatre, the Czech premiere of Wilco! This holder of two Grammy Awards has not only transformed the face of rock music over the last two decades, but is also a symbol, a secret and a movement. Their masterfully harmonic music combines ingenious soulful sounds, piercing melodies, rich sound textures and extremely detailed work with instrumental music: all this is Wilco.
